I blog. I have authored a novel—currently writing another one, and the thought ‘Everything is Energy ~ Everything has Divine Purpose’ has been at the centre of it all. Did I coin it? To an extent I suppose. I put the clauses together—I think, maybe or maybe not. The truth is I can’t take credit for something as old as time and the millions of thinkers, philosophers, sages and even skeptics that came before me, but perhaps I can take credit for appreciating the concept enough to shed light on it; at least from my own visionary perspective.
“Where did you source the thought from?”
Glad you asked— Over the course of my life I have devoured anything and everything pertaining to metaphysics—mind, body, spirit and more recently visionary—expanded consciousness. I have actively studied intuitive sensing and energy healing; fascinated by the idea of connection whether it be synchronistical—things appearing to have happened randomly, or through connection to higher consciousness by way of intuition and/or various kinds of meditation; connecting with the universal consciousness that’s there for all of us to awaken to and benefit from.
In the beginning of my ‘awakening’ stages I read The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield. This book was life changing but it’d take years of practice to internalize its wisdom by validating its philosophies through theorizing, testing, and experiencing to eventually devising my own truths, while keeping its core principles central. All of this, before gathering all I’ve learned and summarizing it into a single solitary quote that resonates: ‘Everything is Energy ~ Everything has Divine Purpose’ and expanding it again into a 283 page fictional novel.
The quote, ‘Everything is Energy ~ Everything has Divine Purpose,’ has not only been in my spiritual arsenal for years but is also the title of my blog space; a space I devote to finding happiness through the simplest of methods and connecting to all that we are.
It’s also the biggest theme in my debut novel, VOICE OF THE RED DRAGONFLY.

“Okay, but what does the quote actually mean?”
In short, it means that connection is everywhere, in everything and available to everybody. Synchronicity is abundant and once you open up to the universe’s teachings and allow it to guide you, you’ll discover life-changing perspectives. It’s simple.

My inspiration, The Celestine Prophecy, is a story that follows 9 core insights toward seeking enlightenment. Some compare it to the eightfold path in Buddhism and the like; rooted in Eastern traditions with vibes in New Age Spirituality.
My contemporary, fictional novel re-visits these insights in a less obvious manner, and offers my interpretations and elaborations, which I have broken down as ‘truths’. Life isn’t just a free for all; I believe there are unwritten codes, insights we can all have access to and truths that’ll allow us to live happier. If you agree, please read on. VOICE OF THE RED DRAGONFLY relates to people who are seemingly content with their lives, but not oblivious to the feelings of lack that can arise, especially after having experienced an upset or tragedy, which often forces people to re-evaluate their happiness meter.
Ruby Jacobs is a modern-day, urban professional and a recent betrayal begins to prompt questions surrounding the state of her life. She ventures through a spectrum of spiritual awakening. Firstly, she awakens to a pattern of SYNCHRONICITY— truth number 1. Remember, ‘Everything is Energy ~ Everything has Divine Purpose’ and even random events can have incredulous meaning.
As Ruby encounters brushes with the ethereal, she considers the prospect of something greater—guiding her, and she enters into a 2nd truth of sorts; FLOW and allowing for something more to unfold.
Exchanges of information and subsequently, wisdom with others, become invaluable as Ruby ALIGNs with the universe—having everyone’s best interest at heart forms the basis for truth number 3. Knowledge is power, so share it. You never know when someone needs to hear it.
People seek out her sage counsel and a 4th truth is unveiled. An alternate definition for BE OF SERVICE: demonstration of an innate ability to deflect human-drama. Drama diminishes flow and isn’t beneficial, so why waste so much time on it?
Ruby enters into euphoric states, a notable one instigated by nature and her CONNECTION to the world expands ten-fold—truth 5. Solace is found in nature; the best support system for awakening—pure, natural goodness. Nature connects us to our root and purifies our chakras, providing balance, calm and clarity.
A new perspective on relationships, career prospects and passions take hold. Ruby’s sense of PURPOSE is heightened, evoking even more inspiration and fulfilment; bringing forth truth 6. When we invest in our relationships, careers and interests we learn what motivates us—what to sacrifice and what to keep.
Ruby’s expansion of consciousness ACTIVATEs her spiritual gifts, a 7th truth; gifts that we all have. What are yours? I’m an intuitive, energy healer with a passion for ‘waking’ people up by way of the written word. Also, expanded consciousness encourages truth number 8—living a more AUTHENTIC existence. Often times our true gifts are shut down by outside circumstances, but they are the essence of who you are and therefore, vital to speaking our truths and living our most authentic lives.
Our own AWARENESS serves as a catalyst for others to seek out their own truths because it is so transformative and intoxicatingly delicious, ultimately revealing a 9th truth. People want to live happier, more satisfying lives, and a tangible example often provides the most incentive—embrace the abundance and let your cup flow into someone else’s.
The Celestine Prophecy originally consisted of 9 insights, but we’re not done yet…and notably, several years later Mr. Redfield wasn’t either…Yes, he wrote more insights and I completely understand as to why. Life is a journey and and it doesn’t end at the time of death. Remember…’Everything is Energy ~ Everything has Divine Purpose’.
Throughout my novel I tangle with the divine, after-life and an awareness for our souls, which I’ve named BEYOND, a 10th truth. Appreciation for the present moment is interwoven throughout VOICE OF THE RED DRAGONFLY’s pages alongside love, patience and openness; qualities in all of us; understood as GRATITUDE AND UNIVERSAL CONSCIOUSNESS—the 11th and 12th truths.
‘Everything is Energy ~ Everything has Divine Purpose’. We are all connected on an infinite plane of levels, and I encourage you to open up to what’s possible. The first step is easy—make the connection.
