I’m Back

I’m back after a 2-year hiatus!

Let me Re-Cap . . .

I’m an author, who is still writing and being published. Although book 2 is backlogged, my publisher promises a late 2022 summer or early 2022 fall release. Fingers crossed.

A lot changed during the pandemic, but one thing that’s stayed the same for me is my love for crafting a novel.

As I wait for Aces and Orange Peels to be published, a fictional novel about intuition—our only true ally, this book like my debut novel, Voice of the Red Dragonfly, is crafted straight from the heart.

Voice of the Red Dragonfly introduces a young professional, who doesn’t know what it is she wants or needs to feel happy until a serendipitous journey unfolds before her—love, magic and awareness for what’s possible if one’s willing to ‘tune in.’ It’s spiritual revelation at its finest, with dashes of heartfelt wisdom for the soul. Are you paying attention to the signs and synchronicities in your life? Oh, the signs that abound! It’s positively euphoric. Perhaps visionary fiction isn’t for everyone, but universal consciousness is well, universal! Tell me I’m wrong.

As a lover of tarot, divination and the ability of intuition to tap into the unseeable, Aces and Orange Peels, zeros in on how the universe always has our back, even when it doesn’t seem that way. An overseas adventure, wrapped in a mother’s unconditional love for her son, drives this plot from Toronto Canada to Madrid Spain and back again.

I love basing my novels in Canada and Spain. Both countries and their respective cultures feel like home to me. The former, because it is, but the latter for reasons unbeknownst or shall we say, ‘other worldly?’

So, my novels will continue to reference or be fully immersed in at least one, if not both countries and well into my foreseeable ‘authoress’ future. By the way…Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians, today!

Each novel is becoming easier to craft than the one before, but that’s obsolete because I love the WRITING PROCESS more than the end product; from first inklings, to rip my hair out kind of frustration and beyond. Excitement abounds when creating new characters and obstacles for them to overcome. And, although moving the story’s location along is essential, crafting each word to get characters from point A to point B truly lights my fire. My words are my characters’ vessels. You have to admit, there’s something poetic about that.

Watching transformational elements take to the pages: union/separation, inspiration/demotivation, and of course the inevitable character growth that occurs between that first chapter and the final word—THE PROCESS—is ALL very exhilarating.

The WRITING PROCESS is hands down the best part about writing to me.

Why do you write? I’d love to know.

Be Happy.
